MonTEC’s mission is to revitalize and diversify the regional and state economy by encouraging small business innovative research, facilitating the transfer and commercialization of technology from the University of Montana and related laboratories, helping develop new technology-based start-up businesses in Montana, and fostering the creation of quality jobs.

MonTEC's role is to provide an entrepreneurial environment - including space, services and support - for those technology-based enterprises whose success will contribute significantly to the growth and diversification of the state's economic base. MonTEC facilitates small business innovative research, and the sharing of expertise and resources among its technology-based tenants.
