MAEDC 2008 Work Plan 

I. Introduction

This document describes the basic goals and objectives of the Missoula Area Economic Development Corporation for the calendar year 2008. The Work Plan was prepared by MAEDC staff and submitted to the organization’s board of directors at its January 15, 2008, board meeting. A Mid-Point Progress Report will be given to the board at its June 2008 meeting, and a Final Progress Report will be presented to the board in December.

The purpose of the Work Plan is threefold: (1) To enable MAEDC’s board of directors and members to monitor the organization’s activities more effectively and to provide accountability; (2) To allocate organization resources in a manner consistent with MAEDC’s priorities; (3) To improve communication with MAEDC’s stakeholders regarding the organization’s mission, accomplishments, and economic development priorities.

Under the leadership of the President and CEO, staff will monitor the status of the objectives listed for 2008 and, if revisions are needed, these will be addressed in the Mid-Point Progress Report. A monthly progress report will be presented to the board at its regular meetings. The Work Plan will also be posted on MAEDC’s website ( www.maedc.org ).
