Geodata has conducted hundreds of GIS projects with government and private sector clients throughout the Western US and Australia, with a primary focus on regional and local planning and decision support, natural resource management, and wildlife conservation. The Glacier Country Regional Tourism Commission was created by the state of Montana specifically to market visitation to Western Montana. We are funded in part by the state accommodations tax and by various marketing partners. Our marketing efforts are directed by a board of Western Montana business people, all of whom are in tourism.

Each year, Glacier Country advertises and publicizes Western Montana to millions of potential visitors. Lupine Logic Inc. (LLI) is a IT/geospatial service+product firm specializing in decision support and asset management solutions for business and government. LLI’s decision support focus emphasizes integration across the organization, through better use of information context. LLI solutions deliver location enabled multimedia alongside classic business process information as the key to accessing that context. LLI’s unique RichPoint internet enabled software product line provides the capability to easily geo-reference, visualize, and manage any collection of digital photographs, binary documents, or sensor datasets. Our GPS enabled camera field solution, coyotEYE-Pro, is also offered as an adjunct to our RichPoint digital content management solutions.

Lupine Logic Inc. also provides a range of IT services. These include GIS, GPS, database design and implementation, embedded systems integration, and contract software programming on a wide range of platforms. Augmenting field data collection and decision support via GPS and environmental instrumentation, Lupine Logic Inc serves as a regional reseller for Tripod Data Systems (Trimble Division TDS NOMAD and RECON rugged handheld computers), for Laser Technologies Inc. (TruPulse laser rangefinders), and SyBASE iAnywhere database solutions.

Montana is divided into five regions with a Regional Development Officer (RDO) assigned to each area as a representative of the Montana Department of Commerce. The RDOs live in their regions and are a resource to businesses, local development corporations and communities in the area. The program serves as an access point to all relevant Commerce Department resources, and all other relevant business and community development resources. The primary purpose of this Finance Information Center program is to provide technical assistance to businesses for the purpose of obtaining financing for start-ups, expansions, business locations from out of state, and retention projects.
